WADA welcomes two new World Anti-Doping Code Signatories

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is pleased to announce that World Boxing and the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) have become the latest Signatories to the World Anti-Doping Code (Code).
Organizations may submit an application to WADA to become Signatory in accordance with Article 23.1 of the Code. The application is reviewed by the independent Signatory Expert Group under the revised Policy for Acceptance of New Signatories (Policy), which came into effect 1 January 2021 following approval by WADA’s Executive Committee in September 2020.
Both World Boxing and GAMMA met the criteria to become a Signatory under Article 23.1 of the Code and met the requirements laid out in the Policy.
The Code is the core document that harmonizes anti-doping policies, rules and regulations within sport organizations and among public authorities around the world. It works in conjunction with eight International Standards which aim to foster consistency among anti-doping organizations in various areas.
