WADA President's response to defamatory statement made by Hein Verbruggen regarding Agency’s Director General

In response to today's defamatory statement by Former International Cycling Union (UCI) President, Hein Verbruggen, Sir Craig Reedie, President of WADA says the following:

Sir Craig Reedie, the President of WADA, is astounded by the complaint made by Hein Verbruggen to the IOC Ethics Commission, and made public, in respect to WADA’s Director General, David Howman. The allegations in the complaint have no merit, are outrageous in their content and obviously defamatory.  Reedie calls upon Mr. Verbruggen to publicly retract his complaint immediately; and, suggests to the IOC Ethics Commission that it dismiss it as being totally without merit forthwith.
