Building on the experience gained to-date and to further advance anti-doping efforts, WADA has initiated a Code consultation process similar to that used in the development of the Code and for the revised Code (2009). It will allow a practical review of its provisions and some fine-tuning to enhance anti-doping programs. The consultation provides stakeholders with the opportunity to contribute constructively to the improvement of the Code.
WADA is pleased to introduce a new and unique online tool WADAConnect to facilitate the provision of comments by all stakeholders.

The Code consultation process includes three stages and will conclude at the Fourth World Conference on Doping in Sport in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2013.

Stakeholders are urged to take into account experiences with the 2009 Code when providing suggestions for amendments. In view of the relatively successful and harmonious operation to-date, stakeholders are asked to look carefully at the areas which would benefit from change, additions or omissions, and reflect on the benefits to the global community of athletes arising from any suggested alteration.
The consultation process is managed by an expert project management team and includes the review and approval from the WADA Executive Committee.
